Front End Developer at Thought Collective

We are on the lookout for a front end developer to join our established team, delivering digital solutions for clients across the UK, Ireland and Europe. The role is initially to cover a staff member on maternity leave, but there is the option of it becoming a permanent position.

Working with other members of the front end team, the successful candidate will translate designs conceived in Illustrator, Sketch or Figma into lean, quick-loading, semantically valid HTML5, CSS and Javascript.

Attention to detail is crucial, alongside an ability to work with and communicate well to the design and backend development teams to achieve the goals of the projects.

Summary of the role

Your time will be split between working on new development projects and supporting existing clients and codebases.

We seek a talented, hard-working problem solver, who is eager to learn and discover new technologies in a rapidly changing arena.

You will collaborate with the wider development team and third party contractors, reporting to our Digital Director. Performance will be measured against project deadlines and the quality of the product produced.

Key requirements

Real world experience of working with HTML, CSS and Javascript. Problem solving skills - capable of working individually and with wider input to solve complex integrations and client needs Desire to strive for perfection in UI and UX as part of the wider brand experience Understand and uphold the company values, working for the good of our clients Willingness to work unsocial hours where necessary

Desirable requirements

Experience in another development team would be a bonus
